Galtea Raises $3.2M to Fix AI’s Testing Bottleneck

Must read

Galtea has raised $3.2 million in seed funding to help enterprises generate reliable test scenarios for AI agents before deployment, cutting cost and complexity.

Galtea, a startup building evaluation infrastructure for generative AI agents, has raised $3.2 million in a seed funding round led by 42CAP, with participation from Mozilla Ventures and existing backers including JME Ventures, Masia and ABAC Nest Ventures. The raise brings the company’s total funding to $4.1 million.

The company is targeting a problem that has emerged as one of the less glamorous but increasingly consequential bottlenecks in enterprise AI adoption: the cost and complexity of testing AI agents before they go into production. Building a capable model is no longer the primary obstacle for most organizations. Knowing whether it will behave reliably, accurately and safely in real-world conditions — and being able to prove that to the people responsible for deploying it — is.

The Gap Between Development and Production

Galtea’s platform generates structured, use case-specific test scenarios automatically, allowing enterprise teams to evaluate AI agent performance, accuracy and security without building custom testing infrastructure from scratch. The platform offers continuous and dynamic testing alongside tailored evaluation metrics, designed to support iterative development rather than a single pre-launch checkpoint.

“Galtea provides the infrastructure developers need to test, validate and deploy AI systems reliably and efficiently in real-world conditions,” said Jorge Palomar, the company’s co-founder and chief executive.

The company says its automated scenario generation can meaningfully reduce both the time and cost associated with AI validation — though it did not provide specific benchmarks or independent verification of those claims.

Galtea has introduced a self-service tier, including a free trial, alongside its enterprise packages — a move designed to expand access for individual developers and smaller teams who face the same testing constraints as large organizations but without dedicated evaluation budgets.

Investors and What Comes Next

The round’s lead investor, 42CAP, is a Munich-based early-stage fund focused on enterprise software. Mozilla Ventures, the strategic investment arm of the Mozilla Foundation, has participated alongside existing backers — a signal of interest from the open-source and developer tools community in infrastructure that makes AI systems more auditable and trustworthy before deployment.

The funding will be used to expand Galtea’s engineering and commercial teams and to continue platform development, with the stated goal of making rigorous AI testing accessible to developers globally.

Galtea did not disclose current customer numbers, revenue figures or the specific sectors in which its platform is already being used beyond a general reference to enterprise customers across multiple industries.
