RemotePass introduces SpendCards for distributed teams, offering real-time visibility, cross-border compliance and integrated payroll in 150+ countries.
RemotePass, a global human resources and payroll platform used by companies including Spotify, Tabby and Logitech, said Tuesday that it had introduced SpendCards — corporate expense cards designed specifically for distributed teams operating across borders.
With the launch, RemotePass says it becomes the first global payroll platform to offer expense cards tailored to international workforces, embedding corporate spending tools directly into its HR and payroll system.
The new product addresses a persistent challenge for finance teams overseeing remote employees and contractors: limited visibility into spending, heavy reimbursement workloads and cross-border tax complications. Companies often process hundreds of reimbursement requests each month across multiple currencies, with little oversight until after expenses are incurred.

“Finance teams are processing hundreds of reimbursement requests monthly across multiple countries and currencies with zero spending visibility until after the money’s gone,” said Kamal Reggad, founder and chief executive of RemotePass. “Meanwhile, remote workers are subsidizing company cash flow and dealing with tax complications. SpendCards eliminate this entirely.”
Traditional corporate card programs are typically structured for centralized, in-office teams. Remote employees, particularly contractors and workers abroad, frequently rely on personal funds for equipment, software subscriptions and travel — a system that can create compliance risks in jurisdictions where certain reimbursements are treated as taxable income.
RemotePass said its SpendCards allow companies to issue cards instantly to team members in more than 150 countries, set automated spending limits and approval workflows, and track transactions in real time with automatic expense categorization. The company also says the system reduces or eliminates tax complications tied to cross-border reimbursements.
For employees and contractors, the cards are designed to remove out-of-pocket expenses and support global transactions in any currency, with compatibility for Apple Pay and Google Pay.

SpendCards are integrated into RemotePass’s employer-of-record and contractor management platform, positioning the company as a unified system for global HR, payroll and corporate spending.
The product is available immediately to existing RemotePass customers, who can activate the feature and begin issuing cards within minutes, the company said.
