Forcepoint Unveils AI Security Assistant for Data Cloud

Must read

Forcepoint introduces ARIA, an AI assistant for its Data Security Cloud platform, designed to help organizations manage data risks across AI systems and cloud tools.

Forcepoint, a cybersecurity company based in Austin, Texas, announced new features for its Data Security Cloud platform on Tuesday, including an artificial intelligence assistant designed to help companies manage data security risks as they adopt AI technologies.

The new tool, called ARIA (Adaptive Risk Intelligence Assistant), uses natural-language commands to help security teams create enforcement policies and respond to incidents across AI-driven workflows. The company also updated its global partner program to help technology partners deploy and manage the platform more broadly.

The changes reflect growing concerns among organizations about how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way sensitive data is created, shared and stored.

According to a recent report from the World Economic Forum, 66 percent of organizations say AI will have the most significant impact on cybersecurity in the coming year, yet many still lack formal processes to evaluate AI-related risks.

As businesses integrate AI tools into everyday operations, data increasingly moves across cloud services, collaboration platforms and automated workflows. That rapid movement can make it difficult for security teams to maintain visibility and control.

Forcepoint says its latest updates are designed to address that challenge by automating data monitoring and policy enforcement.

AI Assistance for Security Teams

ARIA is embedded directly within the Data Security Cloud platform and is designed to analyze security risks across an organization’s systems. The assistant can identify gaps in policy coverage — such as newly adopted AI applications without security controls — and generate recommended policies for administrators to review.

Security teams can then deploy those policies across multiple channels from a single interface.

The assistant can also integrate with existing enterprise tools, including ServiceNow and Slack, to help streamline incident response and deliver ongoing risk insights.

Ryan Windham, Forcepoint’s chief executive, said the rapid adoption of AI is changing how organizations must think about protecting sensitive information.

“AI has made data a living, constantly evolving asset,” Windham said in a statement. “Security teams need visibility and controls that can move at the same speed.”

Security at the Endpoint

Alongside ARIA, Forcepoint introduced an updated Data Security Everywhere agent, designed to provide protection directly on user devices.

The software analyzes web activity and data usage at the endpoint level, allowing organizations to detect and block sensitive information from being shared with unauthorized AI tools or personal cloud storage services.

The system is designed to function without routing internet traffic through traditional security proxies, a change the company says allows faster response times and more flexible deployment.

Forcepoint also expanded security support for cloud-based analytics platforms and data lake technologies, including systems built on Databricks and Snowflake, as well as deeper integration with Google Workspace.

Partner Program Update

The company also announced changes to its Global Partner Program, restructuring it around its Data Security Cloud platform.

The updated program introduces a simplified three-tier structure, revised financial incentives and expanded training programs aimed at helping partners build data security consulting services.

Ian Paterson, chief executive of cybersecurity firm Plurilock, said unified security platforms are becoming increasingly important as companies attempt to manage risks across multiple digital environments.

“Fragmented security tools often create gaps that attackers can exploit,” Paterson said. “Platforms that bring visibility and control together can help reduce that risk.”

Forcepoint said the new features and partner program updates are intended to help organizations manage the growing complexity of protecting data as artificial intelligence becomes embedded across modern enterprise systems.
