Accenture Taps OpenAI to Power Its Next AI Era

Must read

Accenture will upskill tens of thousands with ChatGPT Enterprise and launch a flagship AI program with OpenAI to accelerate agentic AI adoption across global enterprises.

Accenture and OpenAI are deepening their collaboration with an ambitious plan to bring advanced AI into the center of enterprise transformation. As part of the agreement, Accenture will deploy ChatGPT Enterprise to tens of thousands of its professionals, integrating it across consulting, operations and delivery work. The move not only accelerates Accenture’s own productivity but helps OpenAI scale its enterprise footprint.

By embedding OpenAI’s technology and methods across its teams, Accenture aims to turn internal learnings into client-ready expertise—helping organizations deploy AI faster and at meaningful scale.

“By combining OpenAI’s breakthrough technologies with Accenture’s deep industry and functional expertise and global delivery capabilities, we will accelerate enterprise reinvention and business outcomes for our clients,” said Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture. “We are also excited to help OpenAI become its own best credential.”

“Accenture plays an important role in helping companies adopt the technologies that define each new era,” said Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI. “We’re excited to partner with them to accelerate the AI transformation of the largest enterprises. And now, tens of thousands of Accenture professionals will use ChatGPT to help teams and clients move faster and generate real economic value.”

With this rollout, Accenture will have the world’s largest group of professionals certified through OpenAI.

Launching the Flagship AI Client Program

To extend the impact beyond Accenture’s workforce, the two companies are launching a flagship AI client program that pairs OpenAI’s enterprise tools with Accenture’s industry expertise.

The program will give Accenture access to:

  • The latest OpenAI implementation playbooks

  • Industry-specific use cases

  • Security and deployment guidance

  • Hands-on technical insights

The aim is to help clients integrate AI directly into real workflows—customer service, supply chain, finance, HR and other critical business functions.

The overarching goal: enable joint clients to adopt OpenAI’s agentic capabilities faster and with deeper enterprise-wide integration.

This partnership builds on OpenAI’s existing relationships with global leaders, including Walmart, Salesforce, PayPal, Intuit, Target, Thermo Fisher, BNY, Morgan Stanley, BBVA, and others.
