Gosta Labs secures €7.5M to scale its AI operating system for oncology—automating documentation, structuring clinical data, and enabling faster, safer, more personalized cancer care.
Gosta Labs, a Helsinki-based health technology company, has closed a €7.5 million seed funding round to accelerate the global scale of its AI operating system designed for complex medical specialties. The round was led by Voima Ventures, with participation from COR Group, the Aho family, and previous investors including Reaktor. This funding follows a €1.7 million pre-seed round in 2024, bringing the company’s total raised capital to nearly €10 million.
The investment is designed to address the increasing administrative and clinical complexity within cancer care. Recent projections indicate that by 2050, more than 35 million new cancer cases are expected across over 100 cancer types. Compounding this challenge, clinicians frequently spend several hours per day on administrative tasks within fragmented systems, diverting time from patient care and high-stakes decision-making.
Structuring Data for Real-Time Care
Gosta Labs is addressing these challenges with an oncology-focused AI operating system that converts each patient visit into high-quality, structured data in real-time. The system automates clinical documentation, summarizes patient journeys, and visualizes data relevant to care decisions.
Crucially, the platform supports quality of care by automatically linking clinical decisions to established international guidelines and assessing key clinical parameters for each treatment pathway, enabling oncologists to deliver faster, more consistent care.
The efficacy of the Gosta AI Operating System was demonstrated at the ESMO 2025 Congress. Findings showed that the system generated high-quality consultation notes structured according to institutional standards and automatically classified metrics, such as Performance Status. Oncologists were able to complete follow-up visit documentation in a median time of under two minutes, significantly reducing administrative workload.

Experienced Leadership in Digital Health
Founded in 2023 by Lauri Sippola and Henri Viertolahti, the founders of Kaiku Health (acquired by Elekta in 2020), Gosta Labs is built on a strong foundation of developing and scaling regulated digital health solutions globally.
The leadership team combines AI specialists with seasoned oncology and medtech experts, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lionel Hadjadjeba and Chief Operating Officer Reetta Arokoski, both of whom have extensive experience scaling cancer care technologies internationally.
The new funding will be used to expand the reach of its AI assistant to oncology teams worldwide and further strengthen the platform’s medical-device-grade product and AI foundation, aiming to enable safer, more personalized patient encounters with minimal administrative burden.
