Must read

Social Links secures $3M to expand its AI Defender Autopilot, using AI agents and OSINT expertise to help organisations detect fraud, misinformation and emerging AI-driven threats.

Social Links, a Netherlands-based security firm specializing in digital investigations, has secured $3 million in follow-on funding. The investment is earmarked for accelerating the development of next-generation tools designed to help organizations protect their brands, assets, and personnel from the escalating risks posed by an AI-driven digital threat landscape.

The funding round was led by Yellow Rocks!, which increased its total commitment to the company sixfold following its initial investment.

Countering AI-Driven Attacks

Drawing on a decade of expertise in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and digital forensics, Social Links is leveraging its experience to develop a new class of AI agents. These autonomous systems are designed to operate collaboratively as an “autopilot” to detect and neutralize AI-driven crime.

This product strategy, known as the AI Defender Autopilot concept, represents a significant evolution in the company’s approach to cybersecurity. It moves beyond traditional infrastructure-focused solutions to focus on the new attack surfaces created by artificial intelligence, particularly across social media, messaging services, and other digital platforms.

Social Links provides comprehensive data intelligence to organizations, allowing them to anticipate and address AI-enabled fraud, crime, and misinformation. Key applications include:

  • Detecting Fraud and Scams in Employee Communication Channels.
  • Identifying Misinformation or false content about a company or brand with a focus on accuracy and scalability.

The New Risk Environment

Ivan Shkvarun, CEO of Social Links, emphasized that the misuse of AI by criminal organizations has introduced a new layer of complexity that current protection methods are struggling to manage.

“The misuse of AI by the criminal sector has introduced complex risks that current protection methods can no longer keep up with,” Shkvarun said. “Our responsibility is to provide clarity and actionable insight, turning fragmented and overwhelming data into effective defense. This is essential for securing trust in an AI-driven world.”

The new funding will be used to accelerate the company’s growth and introduce additional products built on its AI Defender Autopilot platform, solidifying its position in the rapidly evolving digital risk market.
