CYPHER Learning appoints John Mazur as CEO, as founder Graham Glass shifts to CTO to accelerate AI innovation and scale the company’s learning platform.

CYPHER Learning, an AI-native learning platform designed to help organizations train employees, partners and customers at scale, has appointed John Mazur as chief executive officer as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Founder Graham Glass will transition from CEO to chief technology officer, focusing on the company’s AI architecture, product development and long-term technology strategy.

The leadership shift reflects rising demand for more advanced digital learning systems as companies look to modernize workforce development and measure the impact of training initiatives across increasingly complex business environments.

A New Phase of Growth

Mazur brings decades of experience leading high-growth software and technology companies. Most recently, he served as chief executive of Chatmeter, which was acquired by Alchemer in 2025. He previously led Homesnap, guiding its expansion before its acquisition by CoStar Group, and earlier served as CEO of ReachLocal’s European business.

“CYPHER Learning has built a differentiated AI-native platform for organizations that need to educate multiple audiences at scale,” Mazur said in a statement. “Companies today must train not only employees, but also partners and customers. I’m excited to help scale the business and deliver measurable results.”

An AI-Native Learning Platform

Unlike traditional learning management systems that have added generative AI features after the fact, CYPHER Learning says its platform was built from the outset with artificial intelligence embedded throughout the learning lifecycle.

The system integrates AI into course creation, administration, personalization and analytics, enabling organizations to automate content development, deliver adaptive learning experiences and connect training efforts with business outcomes.

Among the platform’s core capabilities are AI-powered course authoring tools, adaptive learning pathways tailored to individual users and governance controls designed to ensure compliance and consistency.

The company’s technology is used by global organizations including McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, Starbucks and Siemens.

Balancing Innovation and Execution

Glass, who founded the company with the goal of making enterprise learning more accessible and adaptive, said the transition will allow him to concentrate on advancing CYPHER’s AI roadmap.

“As we enter this next chapter, I’m excited to work alongside John,” Glass said. “His experience scaling software companies, combined with our focus on AI innovation, positions us to deliver even greater value to customers.”

Investors say the new leadership structure is designed to balance operational growth with continued technological innovation.

“Organizations need intelligent training systems that can adapt and scale as AI transforms business,” said John DeLoche, co-founder and managing partner at Invictus Growth Partners, an investor in the company.

With Mazur leading operations and Glass focusing on technology, CYPHER Learning is positioning itself to expand its role in the rapidly evolving market for AI-powered enterprise learning platforms.
