Cognizant will deploy its AI-powered WorkNEXT platform to modernize global workplace services for Daimler Truck in a multi-year deal.
Cognizant said Tuesday it had been selected by Daimler Truck to modernize and transform the manufacturer’s global workplace services in a multi-year agreement centered on artificial intelligence and automation.
The partnership will span factories and offices worldwide, with Cognizant deploying its WorkNEXT™ platform — a digital workplace framework designed to integrate AI, automation and human-centered support into daily operations.
Cognizant said WorkNEXT is intended to create what it describes as an adaptive, AI-first workplace environment, balancing automated “zero-touch” services with higher-touch human support. The approach aims to improve operational resilience, streamline service management and enhance employee experience across global locations.
“We are proud to work with one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers as they embark on this AI-led global transformation of their workplace services,” said Ravi Kumar S, chief executive of Cognizant. He said the initiative places artificial intelligence at the center of workplace operations, alongside automation and governance safeguards.

The deal reflects a broader trend among industrial manufacturers to modernize internal technology environments, not only in production systems but also in digital workplace infrastructure that supports global workforces.
As companies integrate AI into enterprise operations, the workplace itself — from service desks to collaboration platforms — is becoming a test bed for automation strategies designed to improve reliability while maintaining human oversight.
