Cloudera Expands Observability Suite for Enhanced Visibility and Control

Must read

Cloudera has launched new observability solutions for on-premises and public cloud environments. These offerings provide enhanced visibility, monitoring, and automation for data-driven enterprises, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Cloudera has announced the addition of two new solutions to its Observability suite, aimed at enhancing visibility over data sources and workflows in both on-premise and public cloud environments.

The new offerings, Cloudera Observability Premium On-Premises and Cloudera Observability Premium for Public Cloud Data Hub are designed to ensure real-time monitoring and automate actions across network data, thereby creating highly secure networks.

Sanjeev Mohan, an industry analyst, commented on the importance of such technologies.

“Real-time correlations and contextual information are essential for identifying optimization points, potential bottlenecks, and prescriptive recommendations. Implementing advanced observational capabilities is critical for enterprises as they provide real-time system insights that enable proactive issue resolution and enhance security, ultimately leading to operations and reduced risks.”

“Cloudera’s expanded Observability offering enables enterprises to tackle this head-on by building a new standard for hybrid data observability across on-premises and public clouds.”

The two new additions to Cloudera’s Observability suite cater to different deployment environments. Cloudera Observability Premium On-Premises allows customers to run observability entirely within their data centers, making it suitable for highly secure networks. This solution ensures optimal monitoring, troubleshooting, financial governance, data observability, and automated actions, even in air-gapped configurations.

On the other hand, Cloudera Observability Premium for Public Cloud Data Hub extends these capabilities to public cloud users, including features such as real-time monitoring, advanced financial governance, automated actions, and data observability.

Cloudera’s Chief Product Officer, Dipto Chakravarty, emphasized the value of these new offerings: “There is immense pressure on enterprises today to better manage data resources and efficiently leverage data across the organization. Cloudera Observability helps enterprises maximize cost-efficiency, enhance performance, and unlock intelligent insights.”

“The new premium additions deepen these insights for enterprises and build on our commitment to help customers regain control of their data, analytics, and AI.”

The new solutions provide comprehensive visibility and management across both on-premises and cloud-based data centers. Key features include real-time monitoring of Data Hub clusters, jobs, and queries, financial governance with cost factors and capacity forecasting, workload views, alerts, automated actions, and data observability covering hot and cold table analysis.

These tools are intended to streamline self-service troubleshooting, maximize investment, and enhance resource costs and usage visibility.

The announcement underscores the increasing demand for strategic insights derived from technologies like GenAI and the growing need to adhere to data privacy and security regulations. Cloudera’s expanded Observability suite aims to address these requirements by providing enterprises with robust tools for maintaining highly secure networks across their data centers, whether on-premises or in the public cloud.

Cloudera plans to showcase its latest solutions at the AWS NYC Summit, allowing attendees to experience firsthand the capabilities of Cloudera’s new premium observability offerings. These new tools signal Cloudera’s commitment to providing a single source of observability across all cloud and on-premises environments.
