Blockchain for Good Alliance Partners With FLock.io

Must read

The Blockchain for Good Alliance and FLock.io form a partnership to advance decentralized AI and blockchain initiatives focused on public-good use cases.

The Blockchain for Good Alliance, a nonprofit initiative founded by Bybit, said Tuesday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with FLock.io, a developer of privacy-focused decentralized artificial intelligence systems.

The partnership expands the alliance’s original mandate—blockchain for social impact—to include artificial intelligence, reflecting growing interest in how the two technologies can be combined to support public-good initiatives. Under the agreement, FLock.io will serve as the alliance’s strategic AI partner, providing advisory and technical support to projects within the group’s global ecosystem.

The two organizations said they will explore opportunities to integrate FLock.io’s application programming interfaces and its decentralized AI marketplace into relevant initiatives supported by the alliance. The collaboration will also examine joint programs with academic institutions, research organizations, and public-sector bodies, including workshops, pilot projects, and research efforts focused on the intersection of blockchain, AI, and social impact.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to ensuring decentralized AI is developed in service of real-world outcomes,” said Jiahao Sun, founder and chief executive of FLock.io. Working with the alliance, he said, will allow the company to support builders and institutions with privacy-preserving AI systems designed to broaden access and align incentives around responsible use.

One of the first initiatives under the partnership will be the Blockchain and AI for Good Impact Germany Tour, scheduled for early next year. The nonprofit, education-focused program will engage universities across Germany through on-campus events, mentoring, and advisory support, culminating in student teams developing blockchain and AI projects aimed at social impact. Selected teams will present their work to industry leaders during German Blockchain & AI Week, with winning projects receiving further support.

Glenn Tan, director of global affairs at the Blockchain for Good Alliance, said the partnership signals a broader commitment to supporting blockchain-enabled AI initiatives with tangible societal benefits. FLock.io’s work in federated learning and privacy-preserving AI, he said, aligns closely with the alliance’s mission to make emerging technologies safer and more accessible.

Beyond the Germany program, the organizations plan to collaborate on additional events and community initiatives designed to engage developers, researchers, and industry stakeholders working on blockchain-for-good and AI-for-good applications.
