Amazon.com Inc. will sell Salesforce Inc. apps on AWS, letting customers integrate data and artificial intelligence (AI) features across platforms, the companies said Monday.

Amazon.com Inc. will sell Salesforce Inc. (CRM) products on its Web Services platform (AWS) through an expanded partnership between the two companies.

The companies said on Monday they struck the deal to enable customers to manage their data across Salesforce and AWS seamlessly and to allow users to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into their applications and workflows.

Both companies are well-known competitors in the AI race. Salesforce, a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management software, offers GenAI tools that create personalized marketing and customer service content. The AWS platform includes Amazon Bedrock, a large AI language model.

The integrations of Salesforce products on AWS will be available in 2024.

Amazon shares were up more than 1.35% in intraday trading on Monday, while Salesforce rose more than 0.5%.
