Veeam and HPE Double Down on Data Resilience

Must read

Veeam and HPE expand their strategic alliance, unveiling next-gen hybrid cloud data protection tools aimed at boosting enterprise resilience and cutting risk.

Veeam Software, the global leader in data resilience, announced a major expansion of its strategic alliance with HPE, unveiling a suite of next-generation, integrated solutions designed to simplify and enhance data protection across hybrid cloud environments.

The companies say the new chapter in their partnership aims to eliminate risk, streamline operations and bolster enterprise confidence at a time when “trust, resilience and availability are the new currency of business.”

“Trust, resilience, and availability are the new currency of business,” said John Jester, Chief Revenue Officer at Veeam. “Our strengthened partnership with HPE gives customers the agility and confidence to protect, recover and leverage their data, wherever it resides.”

New Innovations Unveiled

Veeam and HPE introduced several advancements spanning hybrid cloud, storage efficiency and cyber resilience:

Protection for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software

Veeam’s new native integration plug-in—currently in beta and expected to reach general availability in early 2026—delivers hypervisor-based, image-level backups for VMs running on VM Essentials. HPE has also validated Morpheus Enterprise container services as a Veeam-ready solution, extending protection to containerized workloads.

HPE Private Cloud Business Edition + Veeam Data Platform

Enterprises will soon be able to deploy HPE Private Cloud Business Edition alongside the Veeam Data Platform, replacing fragmented DIY setups with a unified ecosystem. The combined offering enhances portability between VMware and VM Essentials, dramatically simplifying deployment and support.

Breakthrough Storage Efficiency with HPE StoreOnce

Veeam Data Platform now taps the latest HPE StoreOnce Catalyst technology to achieve up to 60:1 data reduction, remove incremental backup limits and accelerate restore speeds. The improvements unlock new hybrid cloud use cases while reducing total cost of ownership.

Expanded Support for HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000

New NVMe support and snapshot integrations significantly accelerate backups and enable near-instant recovery for mission-critical workloads. Additional reference architectures—designed for end-to-end immutability across the Alletra MP portfolio—are expected soon, raising protections against ransomware and data loss.

Cyber Resilience by Design

The companies are also launching two new joint services:

  • Data Resilience and Security Posture Workshop
  • Disaster Recovery Capability Maturity Analysis, leveraging Veeam’s DRMM framework

These offerings help organizations evaluate and elevate their cyber resilience, building on HPE’s cybersecurity services and reference architectures.

“Today’s announcement demonstrates the continuous, deep alignment between HPE and Veeam in removing friction and risk from hybrid cloud and modern application environments,” said Patrick Osborne, SVP of Hybrid Cloud Technology Acceleration at HPE. “Together, we’re delivering unmatched resiliency, operational simplicity and innovation for our customers.”
